"They Were Legends" is a supergroup from St. Louis, Missouri, known for crafting soulful music that spans various genres. The group was established in late 2021 by Roddric Ward (Rip James) and Terrance Waffer (Thrush) while recording their second song at J-Crazy Entertainment. Recognizing need for more diverse sounds to please their fans, they invited local musicians Matthew Kury for bass and Darian Wilson for drums to contribute to their debut album, "LOVE." Shortly after, Skye Watson joined as the new permanent drummer, showcasing remarkable ambition and passion for music at just 17 years old. Alongside Skye, the group welcomed lead guitarist Zack Deeds, whose previous band experience and years of playing electric guitar introduced a fresh vibe. By early 2025, the lineup was complete, and with everyone on board and new singles nearing completion, Thrush and Rip, already prominent in the local St. Louis music scene, were ready to take the next big step.

St. Louis artist Thrush, born and raised Terrance Wafer takes his listeners on a walk through his life experiences, one string at a time. Gaining an appreciation for all genres of music Thrush incorporates various styles into his original works. Heavily influenced by hip hop. Edged with alternative as well as implementing contemporary pop and rnb. By implementing and fusing together multiple styles, Thrush is the prime example of a dynamic artist.
